Group Work -

Alexa works for a local non profit organisation 'People Matters Leeds' running art workshops for people with learning difficulties. The group are encouraged to learn new techniques and experiment with different materials. The process of art making also helps develop communication skills through discussion and working on group projects. The group aims to exhibit through local businesses such as cafes and libraries at the end of every term. The group produced work for and curated an exhibition as part of the 'I love West Leeds' arts festival in July 2009 with a private view for members of the public.
